Mount Cukali

m

The Cukali Massif is located at the northern end of the Municipality of Vau Dejës, about 35 km northeast of Shkodër, and it has two main peaks: the peak of Cukal, at 1721 m above sea level and the one of Muleqith, at 1729 m above sea level. Right in between there lies a plateau called Fusha e Liqenit (Trad. Lake’s Field), named like this because locals believe it was the seat of a lake. In addition to its alpine flora and fauna, Cukal offers unique views of the city of Shkodër and its lake, the valley of Lake Vau Dejës, the rocky Albanian Alps and the plateau on which Puka stands.
