White Cheese is a high-quality, natural local product, derived from the milk of goats or sheep bred in the area of Vau Dejës, Pukë, and Fushë Arrëz. White cheese from this region features a rich, strong, and peculiar taste, thanks to extensive mountain meadows and a well-known tradition of cheese making. To promote and safeguard such characteristics, along with whole local production chain, breeders and cheesemakers are part of the “Shija e Veriut” brand and follow the prescriptions of its production regulation.

Goat Kaçkavall cheese is a happy combination between tradition and innovation, recently adopted by some of the cheesemakers in Fushë Arrëz, Puka, and Vau Dejës. This cheese is made with goat milk and the addition of not more than 10% of cow or sheep milk. This combination results in a cheese with lower fat, higher digestibility, and, last but not least, a taste that is hard to forget!
