As a tradition, the 18th edition of the “Puka Agro-Fest” fair-market took place in the center of the city of Puka, organized by AgroPuka in collaboration with Volontari nel Mondo RTM and Municipality of Puka.

The event has always represented an important showcase for the promotion of the typical, agri-food, gastronomic, and handcrafted products of the small family-run businesses in the area. Like the last year, the “Shija e Veriut” brand participated in the event with 10 producers of cheese and other typical products.

The fair organization has worked hard to sensitize the over 50 producers and more than 1,500 visitors to full compliance with the Covid-19 prevention rules, also thanks to the important contribution given by the competent local authorities and institutions.

The success of the event demonstrates that with tenacity, positivity, and following the basic rules for the protection of oneself and others, one can live with the Covid-19 virus and at the same time continue to work to support the territory and small producers. 

The fair and our participation were also made possible thanks to the “Alliance for the Development and Enhancement of Family Farming in Northern Albania” project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation – AICS and implemented by Volontari nel Mondo RTM.
